Evolve MMA is very excited to announce its inaugural Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament! This very special tournament is open exclusively to students of Evolve MMA between the ages of 4 and 15. We will split the tournament into two age divisions. For those children aged 4-7 years, we will pair them up to compete against each other in individual matches or in BJJ terms “superfights”. For those children aged 8-15 years, we will create a bracket sheet and have them compete tournament style.
The category will be:
- 4 to 7 years old
- 8 to 10 years old
- 11 to 15 years old
Our goal for this tournament is to create a safe, stress free, and friendly environment for our young students to experience their first taste of competition. Whether or not your child ever intends to compete in BJJ again, this tournament will be a very beneficial experience for them. Competition is a great character building exercise and we intend to organize this tournament so that every child that competes will walk away with a renewed sense of pride and confidence.
For those that are planning to compete in the IBJJF Kids Tournament in February, this mini tournament will serve as the perfect warm up.
